That belief was born in my front yard in Long Beach, California, in 2008. I was playing with my daughter Audrey, who was just under a year old. Looking into her eyes, I saw something pure—an expression of beauty and innocence I never wanted to forget. I grabbed my DSLR and snapped away, hoping to freeze that feeling in time.

But when I uploaded the images, I was disappointed. What I had captured were snapshots—technically fine but emotionally flat. They didn't reflect what I felt at that moment.

That experience changed everything for me.

I read the camera manual that night, determined to learn the craft. The next day, with a better understanding of how to use light, timing, and composition, I tried again—and this time, I captured it—not just a picture but a feeling. That image marked the beginning of my photography journey.

Today, that journey continues—with you at the center.
